Misty Crane 66 A project near a lake in the west looks lovely, but I remember the 2020 floods. What should I check? I've read about the FTL (Full Tank Level) and the buffer zone. Is there a way to see where the FTL is?
Curious Woodpecker 13 HMDA publishes FTL maps for notified lakes on its lakes website. BuyBloc's lakes layer draws them from those sheets, so you can see how far a project is from the line. The building rules also keep a buffer from the FTL, and its width depends on the size of the lake.
Steady Elephant 41 Also look at the ground level. A site lower than the road around it will collect water in heavy rain whatever the FTL says. Visit after a big rain if you can.
Misty Crane 66 Found it on the lakes layer. The project boundary is well outside the FTL, but the access road crosses a stream. Going to visit after the next rain, as suggested above.
