Vastu aside, for comfort in Hyderabad summers:
- West-facing living rooms get the low afternoon sun in April and May. They heat up a lot.
- East-facing rooms get morning sun, which is gentler, and are cooler by evening.
- North gets the least direct sun; south gets sun most of the year, but from high up in summer, so balconies shade it.
The flat card's sun hours for each season show this for the actual flat, including shade from the towers next door.
