First time buyer, feeling overwhelmed. Where do I start?

There is so much to learn: RERA, carpet area, master plans, loans. If you were starting again, what would you do first?

Fix your budget first, all costs included (see the post on the real cost of a flat). Then pick two or three areas. Only then look at projects.

And talk to people who already live there. A Sunday evening walk around the area tells you more than any brochure.
